Context
Invivo Group and Soufflet, a leader in the agricultural sector, wanted to develop a major new version of its flagship mobile application, Farmi. The goal was to modernize the user experience for its audience of farmers, respond to their specific needs, and integrate a new e-commerce feature for supply procurement, creating a seamless experience with their web offerings.

Problem
The project presented a triple challenge. First, convincing stakeholders to move away from their outdated graphic charter towards a more modern and accessible visual identity. Second, managing a very large scope of features to redesign, which required a rigorous prioritization effort to deliver maximum value. Finally, my arrival coincided with the farmer interview phase during the harvest season, a critical period making user availability extremely limited and precious.

Approach
As an external designer joining the project, my role was to bring a fresh perspective and challenge the existing UI. The approach was to focus on a pragmatic and high-impact redesign, prioritizing the user flows that would deliver the most value, and advocating for a new design direction that would serve the product's long-term ambitions.

UX Design
The initial phase involved a detailed analysis of the existing application to identify its main flaws and user pain points. This audit was enriched by the insights gathered during the few but valuable user interviews we managed to conduct with farmers, despite the constraints of the harvest season.

Challenges
Based on the research, we faced several key design choices:
Prioritizing the Redesign: Faced with a large volume of screens to update, we made the strategic choice to focus first on the features with the highest impact on the daily lives of farmers. We prioritized a redesigned homepage/dashboard and a dedicated tab for key actions (offers, deliveries, quotes), as these were previously scattered throughout the app.
Advocating for a New Visual Language: A significant challenge was to demonstrate to stakeholders that a modern, more accessible design system was not just an aesthetic "nice-to-have," but a necessity for improving usability and aligning the app with modern standards.

UI Design
The final design phase involved the creation of a complete set of high-fidelity mockups for the new, prioritized user flows. I developed an interactive prototype for the mobile application to present and validate the new experience. A key deliverable was the creation of a new, modern styleguide, respecting Invivo's brand ecosystem while establishing a fresh and accessible foundation for all future developments of the Farmi app.
